 Pacific Coast Railroad Carolwood Event
On November 3rd 2007 we will be having an event at the Pacific Coast Railroad at the Santa Margarita Ranch. For those of you not familiar with the Pacific Coast Railroad, it is a privately-owned, narrow-gauge railroad near San Luis Obispo, California about a three hour drive north of Los Angeles. The railroad is home to the four original Disneyland Railroad "Retlaw One" coaches and an assortment of other unique rolling stock. Saturday, November 3rd, we will have private use of the ranch. It will include a live steam up and the use of at least two of the original Retlaw One cars. We will have unlimited rides starting at 10:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM at which time a catered bar-be-que lunch will be served. The menu will feature barbeque tri-tip or chicken with salads, baked beans and more. There will be a live band starting also at 2:00 PM and playing for two hours so after lunch there will be plenty of time for dancing as well as touring the property. In addition there will be take souvenirs to remind you of the great time riding the trains! So put on your jeans and boots and prepare for a great time! The cost for the event will be $90.00 per person. The Best Western Hotel nearby is willing to give us a special rate of $99.00 for a single bed, queen or king, and $104.00 for two queens for both Friday and Saturday nights.
